1. The GPS

I was driving somewhere I'd never been before, so I decided to trust my GPS completely.

It said, “Turn left in 200 meters.”

Easy.

I kept driving.

“Turn left in 100 meters.”

Still easy.

“Turn left now.”

I looked around.

There was no road.

Just a wall.

I slowed down and stared at the GPS.

It calmly recalculated my route.

Then it said:

“Make a U-turn when possible.”

I laughed.

“Very funny.”

The GPS immediately replied:

“Turn right.”

At that point, I realized I wasn't navigating anymore.

I was negotiating with a tiny computer that had lost confidence in me.

2. The Traffic Jam

I was stuck in traffic for almost an hour.

Nothing was moving.

Cars were lined up as far as I could see.

I checked the navigation app.

It said I had 18 minutes left to reach my destination.

I looked at the road.

No movement.

Ten minutes later, I checked again.

It still said 18 minutes.

Another fifteen minutes passed.

Still 18 minutes.

I finally understood.

The app wasn't estimating how long the journey would take.

It was simply refusing to accept reality.

3. The Parking Spot

After driving around for twenty minutes, I finally found an empty parking space.

It was perfect.

Plenty of room.

No cars beside me.

I carefully pulled in, straightened the car, and felt incredibly proud.

Then I noticed a man standing nearby, watching me.

He walked over and said, “Excuse me.”

I lowered the window.

He pointed behind me.

“That space is reserved.”

I looked at the sign.

He was right.

I sighed and started the car again.

As I drove away, he smiled and said, “Don't worry. You'll find another one.”

Twenty minutes later, I found another empty space.

It was also reserved.

At that point, I stopped looking for parking spaces.

I was apparently collecting reserved spaces.
