"Watch this," he said proudly. "This little thing can answer almost any question."
His wife looked unimpressed.
"Really?"
"Absolutely. Ask it anything."
She thought for a moment.
"What's the weather going to be tomorrow?"
The speaker immediately answered.
The man smiled proudly.
"See?"
His wife nodded.
"Okay. Ask it something difficult."
He said, "What's the meaning of life?"
The speaker gave a long, thoughtful response.
The man turned to his wife with a satisfied smile.
"You see? Very intelligent."
His wife pointed at him.
"Ask it why you haven't taken out the rubbish for three days."
The man suddenly became nervous.
"That's not really a technology question."
She crossed her arms.
"Ask it."
He reluctantly did.
The speaker replied, "I'm sorry, but I don't have enough information to answer that."
The man smiled.
"You see? Even the machine doesn't know."
His wife picked up the rubbish bag.
"Neither does the machine, apparently, because you're the one who needs to take it outside."
2. The Password Problem
A woman was helping her husband log into his new phone.
"What is your password?" she asked.
"My wife's name."
She typed it in.
"Wrong password."
He frowned.
"Try again."
She typed it again.
"Still wrong."
He looked confused.
"Maybe you entered it incorrectly."
She looked at him.
"I typed your wife's name exactly as you told me."
He thought for a moment.
"Oh, I know what happened."
"What?"
"I changed the password."
"To what?"
"My girlfriend's name."
His wife slowly put the phone down.
There was a long silence.
Then she smiled.
"That's interesting."
The man immediately panicked.
"Wait! I can explain!"
She shook her head.
"No need."
He looked relieved.
"You understand?"
"Yes."
She picked up her own phone.
"I just changed the password to my lawyer's name."
3. The Online Shopping Expert
A man ordered a large television online after spending weeks researching different models.
When the package arrived, his wife watched as he proudly opened it.
"Finally!" he said. "I got an amazing deal."
She looked at the box.
"How much did you pay?"
"Only $600."
She nodded.
"That's quite expensive."
"Not really. It was originally $1,200."
"So you saved $600?"
"Exactly!"
She smiled.
"That's wonderful."
The man began setting up the television.
