1. The Great Glasses Mystery
I spent nearly ten minutes looking everywhere for my glasses.
I checked the kitchen counter, the bathroom, the bedroom, and even the refrigerator—because apparently I had reached the stage of life where anything seemed possible.
I finally called my wife and said, “Have you seen my glasses?”
She looked at me for a moment and asked, “The ones you’re wearing?”
I froze.
Then I slowly took them off, stared at them, and said, “Well, at least we know they work.”
2. The Coffee Debate
Every morning, I have the same serious conversation with myself.
“Do I really need coffee today?”
“No. You’re a grown adult. You can function without it.”
“Excellent. So we’re skipping coffee?”
“Absolutely.”
“Okay. Let’s get coffee.”
“Good decision.”
At this point, I realized I wasn't having a conversation with myself.
I was just waiting for the version of me holding the coffee cup to win the argument.
3. The Missing Phone
I once spent fifteen minutes searching for my phone.
I checked the couch cushions, searched the kitchen, looked under the bed, and even retraced my steps around the house.
Getting increasingly frustrated, I finally shouted, “Where is my phone?!”
Then I heard a voice from the other room:
“Have you tried calling it?”
So I borrowed my wife's phone and dialed my number.
My phone started ringing.
I followed the sound...
all the way to my hand.
